Via Ferrata delle Trincee – Trentino Alto Adige/Veneto

Via Ferrata is a rocky and vertical path aided with cables and ladders. This means you need a special gear consisting of a helmet, a harness and a carabiner with a rope to secure yourself to the cable or ladder. Nothing more, nothing less !
Furthermore Via Ferrata delle Trincee is located in a pristine environment exactly on the border between Trentino Alto Adige and Veneto regions. It winds on a ridge called Padon which divided the Marmolada massif from the Sella range.
Doing this climb you will enjoy a gorgeous landscape. Something unbelievable ! The first 30 meters of the vertical paths are difficult. You must overcame a very smooth rocky face without safe natural holds.
The last part of the vertical face is simpler and you can reach the ridge where you see the other side of the mountain, a huge drop of several hundred meters. Something truly impressive and scary.
Then the path winds horizontally along the ridge through several rocky peaks, also crossing a little wooden bridge stretched on the void. Along this breath taking part of the path more or less at 2700 meters of altitude, you can enjoy an incredible landscape.
The last stretches of the Via Ferrata delle Trincee goes down steeply to the foot of the Padon ridge, where you can find an easy path which goes back to the starting point. This particular experience will remain forever in your soul for its beauty !
