Seceda – Alto Adige

You can reach this place, by taking the cableway that leaves from Ortisei, a fantastic hamlet in the heart of Dolomiti. Seceda is a mountain with an altitude of 2519 meters, overlooking a beautiful wide area with meadows.

From this area the landscape is awesome, it is like Heaven where you can rediscover an unbelievable world and merge yourself in a fantastic nature. The green valley is surrounded by very high mountains projected into the blue sky like rocky castles. Something that will forever remain in your heart and soul.

With a little walk along meadows from the cableway station, you can reach Malga Pieralongia, a shelter where a good beer and local food such as cured meat and torte al grano saraceno (cakes done with buckwheat) can be savoured.

Name Pieralongia (long boulder) comes from a strange boulder close to the shelter, in the shape of a big menhir. So don’t miss Malga Pieralongia, where you are immersed in a fantastic environment.

And close your day, watching the 360° landscape with these major mountains: Seceda mountain, Odle group, Fermeda group, Campanile di Funes mountain, Kumedel mountain, Sass Rigais mountain, Sass dla Porta mountain, Kanzeln mountain, La Piza mountain.
