Rifugio Locatelli - Dolomiti di Sesto

Dolomiti are something unbelievable! A very vast area located in the north-east of Italy, covered by the sea in the prehistoric era and now characterized by large green valleys where huge mountains rise with rocky towers like natural castles. An experience that cannot be missed!

For sure one of the most iconic places of Dolomiti is Val Fiscalina located in an area called Dolomiti di Sesto. This valley starts from Moso village and climbs steeply, reaching Rifugio Locatelli where there is an awesome environment and a wonderful landscape.

From Rifugio Locatelli (2405 m) you can observe Tre Cime di Lavaredo (Cima Grande – the central one – 2999 m, Cima Ovest 2973 m, Cima Piccola 2857 m), Monte Paterno (2744 m), Sasso di Sesto (2539 m), Torre di Toblin (2617 m) and many others mountains in the background. Therefore something spectacular and incredible!

From Rifugio Locatelli a lot of other paths start. One of them stretches at the foot of Tre Cime di Lavaredo. It is not easy to take a walk, because it goes across very big boulders, but it is unique being under the huge walls of these three fantastic mountains.
