Punta Calamita ebiking

Today the BBOfItaly.it team offers a panoramic ebike tour around Mount Calamita on the Island of Elba.

It is a circular route that starts and ends in Capoliveri town and has a length of about 20km with an overall height difference of about 350 metres. The journey is 50% on white road (compact earth) and 50% on asphalt and is suitable for everyone.

Along the way you will encounter breathtaking landscapes and beaches where it will be possible to stop for a break and to enjoy the view. Some of the beaches are that of Ferrato, Malpasso, Calanova, Istia and many others.

In the highest part of the route you reach the Tenuta delle Ripalte after having covered a part of the pine forest and the vineyards of the estate itself.

From here the route runs along the southwest part of Mount Calamita and, especially if done in the late afternoon, offers exceptional views of the south coast of the Island of Elba with the sunset.

Along the way, it is possible to make changes to the route that lead to beaches where you can enjoy a break in the crystalline waters of the Island of Elba or to paths that lead to a higher altitude to enjoy the panorama from a raised point on Mount Calamita.
