Lavaggiorosso and Montale - Liguria
Now the question: what did we come here for ? The answer is very simple ! We come here to visit two fantastic hamlets, immersed in a gorgeous forest and pristine environment.
The name of these hamlets are Lavaggiorosso and Montale. They are located in Liguria region – La Spezia district – not so far from Levanto village. The dating of this two hamlets is not certain.
But some evidences tell us that for Lavaggiorosso it could be the XIII century, while for Montale it could be XI century. By and by, very calmly, you can discover these two hamlets, strolling through their alleys. It is a magic experience !
The tiny houses of Lavaggiorosso are painted with bright colours and the surrounding forest is unique. For Montale, it is worth visiting the church of San Siro.
It dates back to Medieval era, but the building was renovated during the century XVIII. So inside the church you can find two different architectural styles. A fantastic contrast !
