Laghi di Porcile - Passo di Tartano

At the very final ending of Valle Lunga you can find the group of stunning lakes on photos below. The head of the valley, as it often happens, acts as border between districts, in this case Bergamo and Sondrio ones. Each lake on this spot is singular and beautiful. However, thanks to their beautiful shape and position, two of them caught our eyes: the highest and middle one. We recommend to visit this place during warmest seasons as surprisingly we found snow during our last trip here! Even if it was a pleasure to walk through a soft snowy carpet, it is always better to see and check the path because there may be some dangerous ice covered by snow. A special mention to Valle dei Lupi  which is possible to bound towards, starting from the lower or middle lake. This valley ends with Bocchetta dei Lupi (alt. 2316 m) reachable by a not so long trek, but very steep. If you want to ask for Valle Lunga and Valle dei Lupi, BBOI staff will be more than happy to bring you up there !
