Da Silvio is one of BBOI team Valtellina’s selected restaurant and you won’t be disappointed by it!
This restaurant, situated in Chiuro, is one of the best in Valtellina beacuse of its prestigious Pizzoccheri, a typical Valtellina pasta made with buckwheat, potatoes, cabbage, butter and Bitto cheese. They will serve you a big baking pan full of Pizzoccheri, so yummy isn’t it?
They offer also other Valtellina typical dishes like Sciatt, small fried cheese balls; Taroz, which is made with mashed potatoes, green beans and cheese; then fresh meat, plates of cured meats and polenta! You can also taste some of Valtellina red wines like the famous Inferno, Sassella or Sforzato, some of the best DOCG (an italian important certification) wines in this area!
BBOI team suggest you to have your meal in the cellar to make the atmosphere more evocative. The cellar is all made of stones and it has just two small tables for 2 or 4 people so that you can enjoy this moment in a completely warm and welcoming space.
You will be really satisfied by Da Silvio restaurant, not only for its excellent food but also for the good price! It reflects the authentic italian taverns, without à la carte menu and in a very informal place, you will be served by the owner or the staff supervisor! Remember to have a good walk before having your lunch or dinner here, cause portionis are so big and fatty!
