Capo Caccia – Grotte di Nettuno – Sardegna

Close to Alghero, a village in the Italian island Sardegna, are located Capo Caccia and Grotte di Nettuno. Capo Caccia is the name of the extremity of a very high cliff projected on the sea where the landscape is breathtaking. On this portion of the cliff a lighthouse is placed and its lamp can be seen from the sea at a distance of 45 km. The experience to visit this lighthouse cannot be missed, especially for the spectacular view from its top. From Capo Caccia, by a fantastic stairway hung on spurs, it possible to go down on the base of the cliff where the sea meets the rocks, modelling them with millenary lasting corrosion action. This stairway counts more than six hundred steps. When the base of the cliff has been reached, it is possible to step into the Grotte di Nettuno, a place that is impossible to describe for its immense beauty, play of lights and colours that surrounds natural gorgeous sculptures..
