Bellagio - Lombardia

Bellagio is a tiny village located on Lago di Como also known as Lario. This is one of the most important Italian lake also from a tourist point of view and it has the shape of an upside down “Y”.

In the central point where there is the convergence of the three branches of the “Y”, there is Bellagio. On each of the three tips of the “Y” there is a village: Lecco on the southeast tip, Como on the southwest tip and Gera Lario on the north tip.

First evidences of Bellagio date back to eighth century BC and due to its strategic position on the lake, the village has always been dominated by different peoples during the Roman and Medieval period characterized by wars and intricate events among several powerful families.

Bellagio is a special place for its beauty and it is located on a gorgeous headland. It is a real “jewel” characterized by narrow alleys and a fantastic coastline with a breathtaking view on Lario.

Strolling through Bellagio is a unique experience, enjoying alleys, little squares and porches with very old shops and bars. Absolutely this is an Italian place not to be missed.

In addition to strolling through alleys of Bellaggio enjoying shops, porches and landscapes, it is worth visiting the fantastic gardens of Villa Melzi and Villa Serbelloni. Two kind of environment that you absolutely must discover for their uniqueness.
