Great St Bernard Pass - Aosta Valley
BBOI’s team is thrilled to propose this evocative alpine pass, one of the highest among Italian Alps.
That’s the perfect place to enjoy beautiful times riding your loved motorbike.
This pass has a rather ancient history. A route road here, dates back even to roman times and it always acted as an essential link between Switzerland and Italy.
Back on 1035 a famous religious, built up an hospice to accommodate travelers which were climbing the pass. Seems it was the very first shelter place over there.
The actual road is much more recent as it was built in 1905. Around 81 kilometres length, especially on the Italian side is a very wide track, fully asphalt-covered, enabling riders to have fun safely.
Getting higher, hairpin after hairpin, the landscape becomes amazing. At the highest part it makes you feel to ride among clouds. The view from the pass is beautiful and here you can also find some sun kissed places where to enjoy a stop.
BBOI’s team has also discovered an hidden place just on the feet of the pass, where you might taste a stunning traditional cheese & ham board of Aosta Valley.
Please do not hesitate to ask us for more info on how to experience this beautiful destination !
